Talk With Her & LISTEN.
Ignoring the situation won’t make it go away. This is a time for open and honest conversations. Ask her how she’s feeling and what she’s thinking. Truly listen to her fears and concerns. This is the first step in exploring your pregnancy options together.
Talk With Important People.
You may want to keep this a secret during the initial shock, but it’s important to talk to people you both trust, like family or mentors. They may be willing to help you and support you both.
Educate Yourself.
You have questions; we have answers. Learn about fetal development, your pregnancy options (parenting, adoption, and abortion), and what she is going through. We offer free parenting classes and a dedicated Fatherhood Program to give you the skills and confidence you need.
Be Honest With Yourself & Her.
This isn’t the time to hide how you feel. Scared? Anxious? Confused? Say so. Chances are, she feels the same way. Knowing you aren’t alone in these feelings can be a huge relief for both of you.
Be There for Her.
Let her know that you are a team, in big ways and small ways. Reassure her that you will make these decisions together.
